I agree!

Although I have heard that he is to be part of a campaign where he will be encouraging others not to follow the evil path of dogfighting...

I do not believe his motives.... at all!

He is said to have been signed up to promote better treatment of dogs and to turn children away from dog fighting behaviours...

However - I am completely sceptical - I do not think that people such as that ever truly reform and that they only do what they are court ordered or pushed by their promoters to do so that they can 'clear their name'.

He knew what he was doing wasn't legal - he hid what he was doing from the authorities.

He knew that what he had done was unlawful - so he lied about his involvement - anything to get out of taking responsability for what he had done!

I ask:

Should his name ever be cleared?

Does he really understand what he did wrong?

Is he truly remorseful?

Has he understood the pain and terror he inflicted on those dogs he tortured and murdered?

Am I ready to have this man free? No

I want to know he contributes at least 25% of all of his pre-tax income (from ALL sources) to animal welfare projects - willingly contribute to atone for his abominable treatment of animals previously!

Will any of it be diverted for good works?

Nup - every penny he makes will go straight into his own pockets and NONE set aside for doing good.......no long term repercussions...

Just remember! If he had not been caught when he did, he would STILL be inflicting his evil dog fighting and torture on poor animals even now!

Don't forget that these dog fighting scum stal and trap bait dogs and cats who are terrified and ripped to peices to help condition the fighting dogs into killers.... how many of these poor creatures died appallingly too????????

When caught - he thought that he would get off with a slap on the wrist or less because of his status as a sportsman and that what he did was "only to dogs"????????

This Vick person owes society a HUGE debt, he owes the dogs and other creatures he victimised so much more!

Lets never forget, he had been involved in this for YEARS..... how many suffered and died before he was charged and convicted?

He didn't just accidentally get involved - it was an organised ring!

He had done this for years - how many dogs were mutilated in fights?

How many did he strangle, drown &/or electrocute for his amusement because they did not meet his 'fighting dog' expectations...?

Years of pain people - no remorse then - before he was caught? How can you kill, torture and maim at all? To kill like this there are no humane feelings!

He is a lying manipulator that is utterly and completely self absorbed. He is a narcissistic sociopath. he would have twisted relationships, with other humans.

He has no conscience. He would feel his own situation and his own feelings deeply, I am sure that he has an absolute inability to feel anyone else's feelings or pain, or to have empathy for anything or anyone else.

Creeps like him just behave in front of society the way that they believe will be acceptable only to their own ends... to get what they want.... they manipulate..... they lie.... but underneath... everything is about them and their perverse pleasure and their way to get that pleasure...

Understand that he has absolutely no real regard or feeling for others whether animal or human.......

Sadly, I am sure that this will be borne out eventually... who will suffer next time - another voiceless victim no doubt!

I'm sorry guys, but it just isn't enough punishment - yet!

I hope he is watched very, very carefully and that if (I believe it is more WHEN) he trips up even in the slightest - that the law slams down on his fast and furious!

yes, if I believed that one could be contrite and truly change - I would want to give them "another chance"

but in the case of one who could do something so heinous, it's inconceivable!

you have to be a certain kind of person to enjoy dog fighting and then to electrocute and strangle animals by his own hand, well, he deserves to suffer as others suffered at his hand

in my humble opinion, one can never never redeem themself from this

according to the law, he has paid his "debt" to society -
okay, but to reward a "man" such as this with the potential to earn millions despite his "lapse in judgement"

is an extreme example of a true lack of humanity, let alone morality

it calls into question the "morality" of the owners and organization et al

the most unfortunate outcome, the messager sent to othjers who do the same - there is a president for vindication, and that might be the saddest part

I do not believe he is sorry for what he did to those creatures....

You are right.... if he could do something so sick and cruel then he is probably not capable of feelings of compassion or care... at all, ever, for anything or anyone - except himself!

He is a monster.

He is now doing everything to redeem himself in the eyes of society, his end goal is the resumption of his former life... before he was found out, charged and convicted....

That is all.....

He is only sorry that he was found out, charged and convicted - NOT for what he did to garner that conviction!

He is not sorry for anything else at all in reality....

He is just sorry for himself, for what has happened to him and now he will try and manipulate all around him with his hollow words and ven hollower actions.....

The law of man may say he has paid for his crime...
But overall..... the type of person he is has not fundamentally changed and he remains a true monster....

I loathe him and believe he is a waste of oxygen...... unless there was a huge combustible volume of oxygen about him and there was a naked flame that he met in the presence of that highly combustible gas..... well then it wouldn't b a waste of oxygen and then he may meet the fate I hope is in store for him in hell!

How can you reward a, I don't even know what I can call that sadist, a deprived human that took pleasure and money for such an inhumane act. Now he has found the errors of his ways....I don't think so!!! He will be making millons of dollars is that so he can KILL more innocent dogs. I am outraged and hope that someone will keep a close eye on this monster !!!!

If he can make me eat my words - then I will be a very happy person...

to be very clear - I completely suspect his motives and my feelings about him have not changed - at all!

But........ if he can help change the lives of dogs of people who would turn those dogs into fighting dogs and therefore victims because their owners viciousness or ignorance then his motives don't matter as much...

Education and attitude modification is the only way to break the cycle of abuse and horror.

So long as he gets outcomes that mean less creatures suffer and people get educated NOT to fight dogs and to have compassion and love instead!
