Dear Friends,

This morning at 8:30AM Central time USA I caught the last kitten!!!! :) :D :) :D This makes seven (7) in all. You won't believe how I accomplished this amazing feat. First of all you all know how long I have been trying to catch this little darling. This kitty is very, very smart. He or she would not go near the cage or the trap. When I tried to catch in a net it would not go near food on the net. I was at wits end. This morning I went out side to feed it and it walked up to me as it usually does but stopped about a foot away. I don't know why but I tried once a gain to hand feed it and it took food from my hand. I reached down with the other hand and picked it up. To my absolute amazement their was no hissing, spitting, scratching, just nothing. I had it by the scruff of the neck and placed it on my chest. I walked into the house with it, took it down to my basement and placed it in the old cage. It is now afraid and has diarrhea but other than that it seams OK. I have a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow.

Somehow I think Stuart has taken pity on me and decided that I have struggled enough with this kitty. I will post a picture soon.

:) :D  :) :D

Hi Richard,

What wonderful new. What a catcher you have become. Looks like you had done a great job in socialisng him prior to capture!

Little number 7 is in good hands. Stuart know that for sure - maybe he had a whisper into a little kitten ear about it all!

Can't wait for the photo's and more news! (& mews!)

Take care,

My HERO!

Cheers,

Kerry

Richard:

That's great. I guess s/he just decided that the time was right to become a tamekitty.

Congratulations on becoming a master catcatcher. I am now anxiously awaiting the picture.

Ah Richard,

How do I tell you what is in my heart?

This little one... this number Seven is a very special girl.... I had a feeling before I looked at her photo that she would be black with Golden eyes - don't ask me why - but she looks just so very much like my little black ever so beloeved Sammy.

I kind of feel like it is my boy touching me through your kind deed and letting me know he is OK....if she reaches up and gentley pats you on the nose - if she makes a purrrip sound before she hops on your lap - perhaps this ones is the keeper.....

No pressure - I just have a funny feeling that she will mean so much to you.... or bring you closer to someone... perhaps.... anyway - it is just a feeling I have.... but either way - I hope you both receive a great deal of hapiness from each other!

Take care!

Kerry

Dear Kerry,

They all mean so much to me. I can't tell you how much it hurts to let them go. This was especially true with Nummie. Nummie was adopted in Milwaukee to be a friend to a disabled cat. They both get along wonderfully and I believe that this is Nummies calling. When I look back at Nummie's illness, almost being destroyed by the county shelter, etc, I can understand why she is here and why I had to give her up.

I believe that all of these kitties were sent to me for a reason. They all have a special mission and we all will be together again someday at the bridge.

Again, thank you for your kind words.
:D

Richard,

Thanks for the posting of the kitten photos...I too am quite struck by Kitten 7...and I agree with Kerry for it may just be her Sammy sending a message of love to us all.

And thanks for all you are doing for these souls.

Sincerely,
Mary

Richard:
This new little girl is such a beauty!!!! She is very lucky to have you to save her from the impending cold nights. Does the vet think that she is the sister of the other two that you have?? They are really cute, too.

It really does seem like Stuart has had a lot to do with these rescues. He must be smiling while he looks down on you. He is really proud of you.

Keep up the good work!!

In love and friendship,
Pat and Steve

They are all from the same litter. I think that number three is the smartest, she eluded me the longest and actually I didn't catch her, she surrendered to me.

Dear Richard,

I am sure you are right and you are guided by the best of all guides, your Stuart and your heart!

It is so lovely to hear that Nummie has a little friend to look after.... what is the story with her disabled kitty friend? A companion for a companion.... I am all for that - I believe that our pets should have companions of their own if their humans can't get to take them most places with them... then they have friendship, warmth and play even when we aren't available! (Every house should have two pets for this reason alone in my opnion.... plus it means that the house his a real home and that there this may also mean one less 'homeless' critter at risk... but that's just me!)

I guess I would just love to know that you are being cared for and warmed by a little furface companion... just because I would like that for you... and that I am such a sop when it coes to wonderful people such as yourself gettting to reap some of the benifits of being a rescuer......

But you know... I really do understand that what you do can be it's own reward! I really do know that.....(sigh)

Take care dear Richard, and I do hope we get to hear some more of your "Kitty Ta(i)les"

Your friend,

Kerry :D

Dear Friends,

Today was a very special day. I re-introduced #7 to her brother (Grey) and sister (little girl) and at first there was just a little curiosity. After a while, about 45 minutes there was play and only two hiss's.

The little boy (Grey) was paying to much attention to #7 and his sister (little girl) was the one doing the hissing. They ran loose in my living room for over an hour and a good time was had by all.

This was #7 third trip to my living room. During the first two she was afraid and would only sit in the corner and sit on my lap. This time with the other two she actually played a little. I'm hoping that within a week she will be as crazy as the other two.

Grey and little girl are recovering nicely from their surgeries. I gave them pain killer but they really didn't need it. I am in the process of worming #7 and she loves the worming medicine. I think she thinks its a treat.

:D :D :D
