We lost our dear little Katy (kitten) on 21st September 2007
She was always called Katy Kitten although she was 15 years old when she passed away. She had been losing weight for some time and yesterday the Vet decided to xray her. Unfortunately the sedative proved too much and she died in the surgery at 12 pm.
It seems she had Pancreatic Cancer but to the end she was a purring bundle of fun who didnt seem to suffer much pain, though her breathing became quite difficult in recent days. The vet thought had she come home with us she only had a month to go anyway. I have owned many cats , but Katy was so special- a friendly, gentle sweet natured soul .
We still have her sister Tessa, who is still bringing in field mice every night and in the best of health- but Katy was something else, I have never known a more loving, intelligent cat. Today has been very hard, I go to the kitchen to make coffee expecting Katy to be in her usual spot, but she isnt there.
She faded so fast.

Im so sorry for your loss. But you have come to the right place, we have all been in your place, and we all know how saddened you are by your precious Katy's loss. She had a wonderful life with someone who loved her very much and now she is at the bridge being a kitten again, no pain, no breathing problems, just playing, chasing butterflies, and field mice like her sister. The place Katy always was will always be a memory good and bad and everytime you look at that spot it will bring memories happy and sad.
Take care
Sheri

My heart goes out to you in your time of loss.
Everyone here understands how painful and heartbreaking it is, to let go.
You and Katy Kitten had so much love for each other, such a special bond. I believe Katy faded fast so you would not see her suffer. She will always be with you though, in your heart and in your memories.
So very sorry for your loss.
I will keep you, Katy and Tessa and in my thoughts and prayers,
JJ'sMom

Im very sorry to hear about your dear little Katy. losing a furbaby can be extremely tough especially when they go so fast. but now as Sunlizard said, she is at the bridge playing and being her merry, happy self with no more pain.

Tessa will need you to as she will miss her sister dearly, but youll both be there for each other and in time the pain and sadness will pass and begin to ease.

you are all in my prayers
best regards always,
Matthew

I just saw your post about your Katy, that's the same day we lost our dog Donovan! 5 weeks tomorrow in fact. How are you doing now? Has it gotten better yet or do you still think fo her alot and cry? I am still in the grief stage at this point, feeling the loneliness in the house and missing our walks and play time together! They really are like our babies!! My thoughts are with you.
