Buddy needs prayers because he's on a bland diet since the meds he was on made him sick. :(

Hi Abbys Mom,
I'm sorry to hear that Buddy is not doing good, I will keep Buddy in my prayers.
My Onyx who passed away this year had went into liver failure 3 years ago from the medicine (Rimadyl and Ethodolac) he was getting and the vet really did not think Onyx was going to make it very long, she had actually thought he would not make it through that weekend and then he made it through the weekend. Then the vet thought maybe he'd make it only a couple more months, but Onyx proved her wrong. He lived another happy 3 years.
His blande diet was boiled chicken and rice or boiled chicken and mashed potatoes. He actually liked that better than all the dog food.
So don't give up hope, Buddy might surprise you and pull right through this.
I will keep you, Buddy and Lucy in my thoughts and prayers,
Take care,
Elke (JJ's Mom)

Hi Abby's Mom,

I will be thinking of you and Buddy & praying for you both..

You may also wish to add some cooked (boiled, steamed or even baked without skin and then mashed up) pumkin into his diet as this is oftn well recieved.

This is also supposed to be quite calming for them and good for thir bowles too....

You may also wish to check out some 'slippery elm bark' powder - I have found that the naturopaths can be very helpful and considerate with their advise for pets - so perhaps a local health food store has one on staff?

I wish you well and of course those prayers will be being said!

Take car,

Kerry

Kerry, Buddy was on Prednisone for his ear because a blood vessel was broken so they drained it. Our vet said it's a steroid. That's what was making him sick so the vet said to stop the meds. Also if you would like to email me my email address is abbysmom3@gmail.com :) Thanks
