Dash my most beloved cat has a horrible cancer - I ask for your prayers as the prognosis is very bad.
Very bad news. feline hemophagocytic histiocytic sarcoma.
Prognosis 2 weeks maybe 6.
There is a slim, 5% chance that chemo may help, at this point in time, I am going to take that road, I have a meeting with the oncologist on the 4th of April, cortison and antibiotics until then...
My heart is breaking....
he is always by my side, or on my lap when I am working or when I am home, he sits in my lap purring as I write this...
My little Dash is the most perfect soul in a cat suit...
His life means so much to me... I have rescued hundreds of cats, and found them new homes, all bar the ones who live in my home, their forever home is with me of course -
.... I have six indoors, all loved, all special, all with special needs .. which is why those ones have never been rehomed,
Dash was the one who captured my heart the most, he was my healthy kitty and the one who comforts me when anything upsets me, when I need to be restored it is he who has been the one who could always make me smile....
he is my heart cat, my healing cat - a little one just like my Sammy, my other heart cat, my healing cat, who I had for nearly 19 years....
I love all of my pets, but some connections are just stronger.... this litte man... I love so much....I am so sad...
My husband is returning from overseas soon, he has been away wioth work for nearly 3 months, so I hope he gets to spend some time with his little buddy too....
He is also broken hearted about this as he adores him too.... my other pets will comfort me, my family and friends will comfort me.... but little Dash.... has been my best medicine....
He is resting now after I have picked up some 'palliative care' meds from my vet... we spoke and I was in floods of tears.... he is a kind man, and he will come out to help me at home, if the time comes...
Dash is sleeping well, and very sweet and cudly, he has eaten a little (and I keep encouraging htis as he needs his strength. He is drinking and urinating well and even a little bowel movement this morning - I have booked him in with the The Natural Vet Care vets in Sydney for Monday, they will recieve all of his records from ARH (ICU hospital for animals) today and reseach for Mondays appt. As there are no blood donors about with type b blood, I am taking the last two potential donors of mine - Casey and Dusty in for tests to check tehir type (I already took Bob in but he was type A - the more common one)
I have ordered a number of anti cancer food supliments that arrive Monday too.... I will do everything on the planet to save this little man...
Hug your little ones just that little bit tighter tonight....
My family and friends and my other pets are providing me with love and support...
But the pain is so sharp, and I am so worried...
I love my little Dash....
... Please think of him and send your healing thoughts out in his direction..
