I was watching an animal planet special recently where they stated that since the conviction of Michael Vick that the status of dog fighters had increased!

I am not sure when the special was filmed, but it horrifies me that people can be so stupid and utterly cruel and get into dog fighting....

His 'community service" work imposed on him to stop dog fighting - is it improving things for dogs - or making it worse?

I hate animal abusers and wish thm all an horrific descent into hell on earth and then after life...... and may they meet the afterlife sooner rather than later...

(Oh yes, make no mistake, animal cruelty, people who abuse animals? I LOATHE THEM... and all that they stand for! - I have absolutely NO COMPASSION for them at all - EVER!)

you tell 'em sister!

(you always say what I really mean to say better than I do myself - I HATE them and the people who make excuses for them)

you are so right - and his sniveling excuse re:"what people don't understand" about growing up as he did is a cowardly and ridiculous assertion

I know PLENTY of people who have grown up in poverty and need, they are not killers, why is he?

and I fully understand "the way of the streets", I live and work in them

it is cowardice, greed and a lack of the most basic compassion and empathy here on the planet that allows a man to take the life of an innocent by their own hand

and by the way, you are right, though I didn't see the documentary you cited, I do know that NOTHING has changed here in the "city of brotherly love"; dog fighting is a still a HUGE issue

nothing, but now, it seems, even sensible people are making excuses for this hateful moron, and more, giving said moron/coward/killer an award for courage?

again, are you kidding me?

I don't give a rat's ass that he "did his time"; fine, let him go on with his life - but GET THAT KILLER OUT OF MY FACE

if I were actually a fan of the sport, I would be no less incensed, I simply could not accept it, on any level

and if those near and dear to me dared to say "he was good for the team"? oh, yeah, heads would roll

(I love my husband so much; while he previously enjoyed football, he has refused to watch the Eagles since this idiot was signed and has no problem telling anyone within earshot why - go Ruby)!
