If I could fight nature and win, you would have never left. But, you were ready and I had to let you go. I miss you.

I remember when the shelter called me and told me they had you. I went up there and saw you and took home a scared, shaking, underweight little girl. I held you and loved you for the next 16 years. You were 17 years old. Born in the spring of 1993 and left us April 30, 2010. Your ears and eyes had gone, your heart was giving out and your liver and kidneys were failing. There was nothing I could do any longer baby except let you go in my arms. You didn't like the needle they stuck in your arm, but I knew you wouldn't feel it for long. How I hated that night Spirit, but with your last breath the same arms that nursed you back to health were the same arms that let your spirit free. I'll always love and miss you girl.

Hello,
Thank you for your kind word. I do miss her a lot and after a year without her I miss her just as much and sometimes even more.
Your little girl does look a lot like my baby. and I'm sure she loved her treats just as much as my Charlie did.
I'm sure you miss your little Spirit and I know that you will never forget her. They bring so much love into our lives, without asking to much in return.
Take care...
Carole

Thanks Carole. Just yesterday I was in the kitchen and looked down and called her name. I did it just to keep that memory alive. Not that I forgot she was gone, I just wanted to hear myself call her again. Although, I didn't usually have to call her when I was in the kitchen! She was so nosey! When we got back from the grocery store, she had to stick her nose in every sack until I got her treats out. Man, I do miss her.

Hey little girl. I've been missing you a lot lately and thought I would come by and see you. I miss kissing your little cheek and hearing your "stories" when I come home from work. I'll stop by again soon Sissy...

Hi girl! I think of you everyday. Buddy likes to play with your little raccoon toy and I see you getting it in my mind when he does. I still pretend to reach down and pet you and call your name just to keep the memories alive. I miss you so much Spirit.

Hi Spirie girl! I still miss you so much and your sweet nature. We had our first Halloween without you and we got out your little balerina costume and shared some memories of you. I wish you were here as you were not long ago. I'll stop by and say hi again soon girl.
