The story of her life-
By the end of June my dog seemed out of her usual self not barking at the postman as much or playing with me...Then in July my mother took her to the vet. He announced she had Chronic Heart Failure and it was treatable. We put her on the treatment but at the time we didn't know that it was her that was growing stronger. By the last Friday before her death she was extremely ill. We prayed she'd stay just another night. We called a different vet up and to our suprise she was optimistic. She decided the best thing for her was a trip to Scotlands best vet university. They immediatly figured out she had cancer. It had pushed her lungs and heart out of place. It had made her liver nearly burst open and had damaged countless other parts of her body......but it was treatable they said...there was 7/10 of a chance she'd pull through. We went to see her on her last day optimistic from the new hope as she faced her first bout of chemotherapy in one room. We were told about her condition before we were allowed to see her in another. The man ranted on and on for 15 minutes. Then he went to get Gemma from her room her heart had failed and she had passed away. We were heartbroken. No more "bing bong" biting the covers when we'd play with her. No more barking at the postman. No more dog following my mother's every move. We are still devastated but my mum wants to get another dog already. I think she's just so upset. She wants to rescue a dog from the place we got Gemma a puppyfarm we didn't know about. I'm so upset. I just hope she's ok up in pet heaven. Michael |
