Thank you everyone for your very kind messages.
Jennie is doing well although she and Max, my Mum's cocker spaniel who lives with us, don't see eye to eye just yet. Jennie is jealous of Max especially when he is near me. We are having to keep them separate from each other at the moment and introduce them to each other slowly.
Jennie has a good appetite and loves her raw meaty bones and raw chicken wings.
I think Jennie must have had some training in the past as she responds to 'sit', 'stay' and she is house trained, hooray!! She even knows her name already which surprises me, so I think her previous name may have been similar to the one I chose.
Jennie had her operation for desexing yesterday, and I felt bad for having to place her in a cage at the vets after what she has been through at the animal shelter. She was happy to see me when I picked her up last night even though she was 'dopey' from the operation. I fell asleep on the lounge with Jennie on the floor beside me on her doggie mattress, when suddenly I was woken by a big doggie lick on my face. I was stunned to see Jennie just sitting there looking at me. I simply smiled, patted her and she curled up and went back to sleep. It was so cute.
Jennie is a very sweet, gentle doggie and I am so glad my two angels Polly and Waffle chose her to live with us. They know we will give her a very loving, secure home, just as we did for them.
Thank you Polly and Waffle. You did good!!
